Council to decide on Ivanhoe Structure Plan this coming Monday – 17th December - Town Hall Council Chambers 7.30pm.
This week Councillors were briefed by Council officers prior to next Monday's meeting when they will decide whether to formally adopt the new structure plan. The agenda for next Monday's meeting, the Council Report and the new Structure Plan will be available for viewing from midday on Friday December 14 from the Ivanhoe Service Centre or on the Council's website: www.banyule.vic.gov.au/ivanhoeproject
Over the past 17 months Save Ivanhoe Residents Group has worked hard to address all the issues residents have raised with us about the Activity Centre structure plan. We have brought the community's local knowledge, questions, development concerns, future aspirations and particular local issues to the consultative planning process in the context of State and local planning policy. The consultative process has been significantly improved since the first draft plan was rejected late 2011.
We understand that not everyone will agree or be happy with aspects of the draft plan in spite of the scope of changes achieved by the community. In the absence of community presence at the Council meeting on Monday night it can only be assumed that you are happy for Council to adopt the revised plan. However it would be great to see you at the meeting given the interest and time you have given to the consultations.
If you would like to speak in support or against the plan you will need to complete a 'request to speak form'. http://www.banyule.vic.gov.au/Assets/Files/05670%20Request%20to%20Speak%20Form.pdf
Be aware that the number of people and the available time to speak is limited and Council considers these requests in order of receipt on Friday prior to the meeting.
